Tired, Busy, and Craving Connection? A Book Club That Fits Your Busy Mom Life

I’m a mom, juggling work, family, and the million little responsibilities in between. When my child was in kindergarten, I joined a local moms’ book club. We met one evening, excited to sip wine and dive into a good book together. But life happened: kids got sick, schedules clashed, and guilt crept in every time I showed up without finishing the book. After a few meetings, that little club quietly fizzled out.

Still, I never forgot how inspiring those conversations were. Even on our hardest days, we’d leave feeling lighter, braver, and a little less alone. That small taste of connection planted a seed in my heart: moms need this. But we need it in a way that doesn’t add to the mental load.

That’s how The Rooted Mom Book Club was born.

What is The Rooted Mom Book Club?

It’s a gentle, online community where we learn and grow together—guilt-free. No one here will scold you for missing a chapter (because you’ll get a book summary instead) or judge you for parenting mistakes. We’re all learning together.

One lesson parenting keeps teaching me is this: we are not meant to do this alone. Community matters for us and for our kids.

I’m also someone who loves to learn. If I didn’t have a full-time job, I’d spend my days devouring books and soaking up wisdom from others. And as a parent, I’m constantly looking for new ideas and tools to help my family thrive. Learning from other moms—and from authors who’ve done the research—has been life-changing for me.

But let’s be honest: traditional book clubs can feel like one more thing on an already crowded plate. That’s why I designed this one to be easy and flexible.

  • You don’t have to read the book. I’ll read it for you and provide a short, helpful summary.

  • We meet once a month online for a one-hour chat about the ideas in the book and how they apply to real life.

  • And that’s where the real magic happens.

Why Moms Need This Kind of Space

When I coach groups of women, a few powerful things always happen:

Relief and connection. When women share honestly, they realize they’re not alone in what they’re facing—and that lightens the load.

Collective wisdom. Moms are incredibly resourceful. We bring diverse life experiences and identities that enrich the conversation. I learn new tips and perspectives every single time we meet.

Time for YOU. It’s a chance to pause, reflect, and think about what you, and your family, truly need. We’re not just talking theory; we’re building small, actionable steps you can use right away.

Practical answers. As the mom of an 8-year-old, I know firsthand the emotional whiplash of parenting. There are days I mutter to myself, “Ugh, I really need more tools for this.” This group helps us find those tools together.

Growth that fits into your busy life. If you’re like me, you crave parenting strategies and fresh insights but have zero time to sift through books alone. This club keeps you inspired and connected, without overwhelm.
